Anong

A Samui table since 1994.

Peter and Anong have been cooking for this island for over thirty years. Thai food, fresh seafood, and a welcome people remember.

Thirty years of the same kitchen

Anong cooks. Peter meets you at the door and usually remembers what you ordered last time. Nothing about this place is designed to be discovered on a screen — it was built by two people feeding the same island, year after year.

The room is open to the street under a tin roof, the sign is the one from 1994, and the food is cooked the way Thai people eat it — unless you ask otherwise, in which case Anong will happily cook it your way.

Peter & Anong

Some restaurants are concepts. Anong is two people who never stopped.

Peter came from Bangkok to Samui around thirty-five years ago. In 1994 he and Anong opened a restaurant and he named it after her. Covid closed it. In November 2024 they opened it again, themselves.
